Taha Ahmed and Brandon Hussey are both snare drummers with incredibly diverse marching backgrounds. They have become massively successful educators in the marching arts, being involved with Blue Knights, Mandarins, Monarch Independent, Cy Fair High School and Amador Valley High School. In this episode, Taha and Brandon share with us how they've adapted to the new way of teaching resulting from COVID, and how successful those endeavors were.
Sergio Bravo, Cameron Ayers
Sergio Bravo and Cameron Ayers are the creative force behind Marching Vlogs Drumline, a collaboration between different world class marching percussionists in response to COVID-19. Branching off of Marching Vlogs, the Marching Vlogs Drumline was operated by Sergio as the production manager, while Cameron composed both the show music as well as the exercises. In this episode, we talk about the origins of Marching Vlogs, some of the challenges of creating and operating the Marching Vlogs Drumline, and how the experience will shape the marching percussion art form as we know it.
