Brandon Hussey

Brandon Hussey is the Battery Caption Head for Amador Valley HS in Pleasanton, CA. More than a passion at heart, the marching arts has paved the way for opportunity and growth in Brandon’s life. Beginning in middle school, his Dad rented a snare kit from a local music store and his Mom kept him accountable throughout high school. This evolved to percussive studies at a collegiate level under Dr. Dan Kennedy at CSU Sacramento (2005-2009), an indoor marching education with the Sacramento Freelancers (2006-10), and DCI member experiences with the Mandarins (2006, 2008) and SCV (2009), later to share these experiences as a snare tech, visual tech, visual caption head, and battery caption head. Groups such as Del Oro HS (Loomis, CA), Saratoga HS (Los Gatos, CA), Foothill HS (Pleasanton, CA), Live Oak HS (Morgan Hill, CA) Amador Valley HS (Pleasanton, CA), Team Percussion USA, SCVC, The Blue Knights DBC, and The Mandarins DBC, all with notable staffs and especially a kind network of friends, have created the opportunity for Brandon to help mentor the next wave of fantastic performers into finding their own light in the community. He happily lives in San Leandro, CA with his fiancée Marielle, and their cat, Tombo.
